Robert Liedtke's photographic works offer a unique perspective on the figure of Charon. His interpretation shows the mythical ferryman not only in his somber work but also in moments of dreaming – perhaps even surfing in the waters of oblivion.
For Liedtke, dreaming itself is a calling. His artistic vision is realized in the moment of photography and continues through the development process until the "dream of the photograph" finally takes shape in print.
